The Anchorage Restaurant & Marina has been proudly family-owned and operated since 1955.

Founded by first-generation owners Jim Martin and Virginia F. Martin, The Anchorage quickly became a special place along the waterfront, built on hard work, hospitality, and community.

In 1996, second-generation owner Julie Swarthout took over and carried the business forward with incredible strength and dedication. She ran The Anchorage single-handedly for nearly three decades, creating the warm, welcoming environment so many have come to love.

In 2025, following Julie’s courageous battle with cancer, third-generation owner Julianne Swarthout stepped in to continue her family’s legacy. With deep roots in the business and a passion for both tradition and growth, Julianne is proud to carry The Anchorage into its next chapter.
